We believe that the best way to make change is to be part of it, first hand.
Integrity. Both intellectual integrity and our moral obligation to our community, be they investors, employees, advisors or colleagues.
Comprehensive transformation. Setting the right strategic vision and addressing transformation from all possible angles.
Honesty and transparency. The only way to build trust and, therefore, make change.
Sustainability as purpose. Sustainability is a source of durable competitive advantage; by transforming our investments into better businesses, we help secure our Companies’ longevity.
Outstanding potential. We seek businesses with a unique identity and reason to exist in the market, with the ability to become niche market leaders and generate sustainable growth.
Meaningful involvement. We partner closely with talented and ambitious management teams and, in many instances, we bring the right leadership and expertise on board.
Best practices. Professionalisation, transparency, knowledge sharing, mutual respect, analytical rigour, relentless execution and rigorous financial controls translate into outstanding investment results.

INVESTMENT principles
We are proud to say that we do not follow convention. We see opportunity where others may not. Our approach, in seeking complexity in industrial businesses, has been consistent since Rubicon Partners was founded.
-
-
Rigorous focus on industrials: We invest in a wide range of industrial sectors (manufacturing, distribution, services) where Rubicon has had relevant knowledge, networks and learning.
-
Companies with growth potential: We seek to invest in Companies with complexity but the potential to unlock transformational growth through our investment and partnership.
-
Missing management elements or leadership: We facilitate 100% exits for Owner-managers and families. As an active, hands-on board, we provide the successor management teams with a safe and supportive environment to develop and grow, backing them with the investment needed to build teams and drive sustainable value.
-
Fixable underperformance: We have experience in addressing operational, strategic and people issues within businesses. No business is perfect, and our role as experienced industrial investors is to work with our management teams to simplify complexity, solve challenges, and relentlessly pursue operational and strategic improvements.
-
Corporate divestitures and carve-outs: Approximately a third of our investments come from larger corporate groups where a parent Company is seeking a full exit. We give the businesses and their management a platform to fulfil their potential.
-
Proven track record, resilience and growth potential: We invest in leading Companies with a proven track record in their respective markets, with some complexity, an EBIT of between £4 and £25 million and with attractive organic or consolidation growth opportunities.
-
Types of transactions include: Corporate carve-outs, owner or management transitions, family-owned businesses.
